In 1978 ABARTA moved into
the headquarters at 1000 Gamma Drive with 12 employees and 3,000 square feet of
office space. After
35 years, ABARTA had grown to 75 employees and 25,000 square feet in the same
building. Consequently,
the decision was made that it was time for ABARTA to build its own, brand new,
freestanding office building. The new office, located just down the road at 200 Alpha
Drive, is a 32,000 square foot building on 7 acres of land.
Old Building:

The interior of the new building features an abundance of natural light, striated earth tone walls, and views of the Allegheny River. The building also has industrial accents such as exposed beams and other metal materials throughout.
The building’s development
team consisted of Bill Krahe (Grand View Development) as the project manager,
Dan Rothschild (Rothschild Doyno Collaborative) as the architect, and Glenn
Gates (Bridges and Company) as the general contractor.
